Open to the Public Since July 28, 2007
Rune and Alice were once the Alpha and Beta respectively of a proud, flourishing pack. However, the deadly threat of hostile invasion became apparent, forcing the pack's Alpha Female to flee. As the pack hierarchy fell to pieces and their numbers thinned, Alpha Rune took one female with him, Beta Alice, and fled the ruins of the pack, nomadic. They settled in a peninsular part of land, sealed off from the rest of the world by ocean and forest. They claimed this lost world as their new home, looking to start again from the strife that had befallen their previous home. Welcome to the Sable Frost Pack. What is Sable Frost? Sable Frost is a dark pokémon pack roleplay, where members play their own original Mightyena and Houndoom (as well as hybrids) in a setting similar to that of a wolf pack. We are a fully literate, intermediate to advanced roleplaying guild with a rating of PG-13 to R for language and violence. |

Wednesday, July 1, 2009 Alice: July heralds the new breeding season. Current couples may PM their litter requests to Alice or Rune. You have until the end of August to make requests: Litters will not be due until October/November.
Saturday, June 27, 2009 Alice: Back from my short vacation: glad to see everyone behaved while I was gone! Cleaned up the affiliate buttons that have sites that are either down or inactive, so please, if you are visiting to check if your button is still up: Inform us on the Questions and Support OR the Billboard that your site is back, has finished its move, or is not as inactive as it appeared and I will gladly add your button back to the list. The new skin is coming VERY soon, there are just some images and the CSS to polish up before adding in all the appropriate tables and boxes. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 Alice: June is the second month of the birthing season. Tarik and Luna's litter is due this month: all participants MUST have their pup's profile posted by the end of June! Friday, May 1, 2009 Alice: May marks late springtime in the Sable Frost territories. The weather is warm without being sweltering and the sea provides a cool breeze for ice types sensitive to the sun. Prey pokemon are still protecting their young: Be wary of mother Stantler and Miltank. Friday, April 3, 2009 Alice: Happy April ... would have done an April Fool's Day prank, but I just did not have the energy this year to plan one out in advance. Maybe next year I'll turn the site pink. IC-ly, it is now mid-Spring and the flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and the prey is back in town. Many prey pokemon are breeding at this time of year, which carries with it the easy availability of weak, inexperienced prey along with the dangers of protective mothers. Hunt warily, citizens. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 Alice: March brings the first month of Spring in Sable Frost - the weather is still bleak and chilly, but something in the sunlight seems cheerier. Snow has stopped falling for the most part, but has been replaced with sleet and chilly rains. The first breeding season of the year has ended. Please contact Rune or me if there were OOC complication to a planned pregnancy, or you're stuck waiting four more months. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 Alice: The new affiliate button has been announced! Congratulations, Aella. Anyone who does not see the new button should clear their browser's termporary internet files/cache and refresh. Saturday, January 17, 2009 Utanith: We are now over two weeks into the new year, and only two days from Martin Luther King Jr. day. In the past couple of hours, we have had several developments: Reya's promotion to moderator, and the addition of the strikeout BBCode. The BBCode can be used via the [strike][/strike] codes in any post or private message. Live long and prosper. Thursday, January 1, 2009 Alice: Happy New Year, Sable Frost! With the coming of January begins the new mating season. Be sure to clear ALL litters with the administrators or they will not happen in the birthing season, it's been this way all along so I shouldn't have to remind anyone to post their litter. Snow blankets the territory in this season, and all the large prey has now moved on until the Spring. Small prey is burrowed in the earth and proves difficult to detect for hounds in their first winter. Any and all inexperienced foragers will be hungry, this month. Hang in there, and don't forget to help your neighbors not starve. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 Alice: The herds have migrated out of the pack lands except for one small group of stragglers last seen in the Gardens. Pidgeotto, Spearow, and Taillow flocks have all flown south for the winter and all critters capable of burrowing are pretty much hunkered down now that the weather has shifted. Hunting will be difficult for the inexperienced this season. Monday, December 1, 2008 Rune: Keep it in your fur, males; Mating is still restricted, and birthing is still in-season. With December comes not a pillow, or a sheet, but a blanket of snow! It means good times for the water elementals, puppies, and anyone who enjoys being lost in a Winter Wonderland; however, not so much for grass-types and those who see winter as the death of the year. Also, two new Deltas have been instated as of this month! Heddwyn and BriarRose won the Delta Auditions of November, and are now two loyal Sable Officers. Hopefully this should make borders and security much more smoother with the coming of new members. Finally, Calypso poses a new threat to the innocent bystander: Snow Bombs. They're colder and louder than Leaf Bombs. Watch out! (Seriously, I may just throw Calypso into anyone's thread for a single post and have one blow up -cackle-) Sunday, November 1, 2008 Rune: Mating is still closed, but birthing can now occur! Too bad there are no planned litters :<. Oh well. November heralds the brunt of Autumn, brown is it's signature color, just like the brown leaves are it's signature plant. Enjoy the cooler weather, put that fur to good use, and watch out for Calypso's "Leaf Bombs" which have been known to detonate at any time and place. Happy hunting! Thursday, October 2, 2008 Alice: Mating is still closed, birthing for current litters (haha, like anyone messaged me) can begin next month. The weather has cooled down considerably and the climate is now pleasantly warm with a cool breeze off the coast. The trees are beginning to change color slowly, and small prey is in abundance. Larger herds are beginning to migrate out of the territory for the incoming winter, but smaller herds can still be found if one looks hard enough. Be sure to read the new activity check announcement! Tuesday, September 2, 2008 Alice: Mating is now closed for the next four months. Breeding will be open in two months. The weather is beginning to cool from the Summer's heat waves and there's a gentle, cooling breeze off the coast. Scattered rain showers are expected all through the month, so feel free to include them in your thread's weather. School's started back up for most members - please don't be discouraged by the slowness here, and keep in touch! We do want to know when you're just too overwhelmed to play at Sable Frost, and not just ignoring the place. EVERYONE who had a litter conceived last month needs to make sure I'm up-to-date on the details so I don't have to tell you "no" later. Friday, August 1, 2008 Alice: August marks the second half of the late-year mating season, so if a girl wants to have a litter with her boy before next summer, don't wait too much longer! This is also the last official month of Sable Frost's summer, so things will finally be starting to cool down within the territory. I will be headed to my first semester of college halfway through the month, so apologies if my activity goes down again around them. It seemed like summer vacation had just started, too. *teardop* It's too bad there's not more news to pup up here. :( Delta promotions are still be considered for the more active members, staff is just having a difficult time choosing appropriate characters. |

The Border
At the edge of the forest, the line is drawn. New members must wait here and call for an officer to accept them. If Rune finds you passing the border without acceptance, you may be in for a rude awakening... |

Sable Woodlands
The Sable Woodlands seal off the inner packlands from the rest of the world. The trees are moderate in number, but still offer a good place to play or hide... Also, the eastern edge of the forest thins into a blackened skeleton of trees... |

The Scorched Grove
On the eastern edge of the forest, there was an accident long ago, and this part of the Sable Woodlands remains a charred wasteland. |

Decrepit City
Just outside the Sable Woodlands is the deserted remains of a small human city, abandoned after it's land value dropped. Several structures still remain, though are now flimsy and could be dangerous. Broken glass and hazards are scattered all around the area. |

Glittering Coast
Surrounding the peninsula of the pack is a wonderful coastline of glittering sand, beached seashells, and a calm tide. Perfect for those who enjoy long walks on the beach. |

Starcall Mountains
Guarding the eastern beach of the peninsula is a short, yet towering mountain range. Atop this mountain lies Frost Point, a cavern of extremely low temperatures that bores deep into the mountain. |

Divine Gardens
At the base of the mountain ridges are a large field of beautiful flowers of several different colors and tall grass. It's the perfect place for puppies to disappear, as well as lovers. |

Sweeping Plains
In the center of the territory is a large open space where all other areas of the land are accessible. Regardless, the plains are a nice place to relax, when one doesn't want to be shrouded in the tall grasses of the gardens. |

Denning Grounds
Near the western coast of Sable Frost are several dens dug into the ground or inside piles of large stones. Lucky ones may be able to claim a den that faces the great ocean beyond the coast. |
